Puzzle piece with an anxious face
Puzzle piece with an anxious face

Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Becky and I live in the Western United States. I am a former elementary school teacher who lives with severe anxiety and depression. During a medical leave from teaching, I discovered that jigsaw puzzles were a great distraction from my anxiety and can often stop oncoming panic attacks if I feel them coming on early. I’ve loved jigsaw puzzles since I was a young child, but as my husband says, I’m addicted now. Sometime I may show you my puzzle collection. It’s a little scary. And yes, I said collection. I need to learn to part with more puzzles once I’ve done them, but I find myself a collector of puzzles as well. One step at time.

My purpose in starting a blog is to talk about the puzzles I’m doing, because I love to talk puzzles. I’ll share pictures and eventually videos of what I’m working on. I may talk about mental health and the benefits of doing puzzles, as well. As it is, I don’t know if this blog will reach anyone but me. But if I’m the only one that reads it, then this will be a lovely journal to keep. Up top you’ll see my Instagram link and Pinterest link. If you’re only interested in seeing my pictures, they’ll be linked in Instagram, but I may share more here to document my progress and such moving forward.

Thanks for stopping by!

I worked as a para for the sped department for my local school district. Only lasting two years, I completely understand the mental and physical toll it takes to work in the public education system. Much respect to you for having taught the kiddos! Reading is like my puzzles when dealing with anxiety of it all.
