I don’t know if the puzzle community online has always been as big as it is or as fabulous, but I love it! When I started my Instagram account fairly recently, I wanted a space to post about my puzzle obsession outside of my personal account. The fun part? I mostly get puzzle content on my feet. This has made made my heart happy! I have found so many different Facebook groups, including one local to me, where people can share what they’re doing, swap/sell puzzles and even monthly contests in a theme where someone wins a puzzle. I’ve also discovered Reddit communities dedicated to jigsaw puzzles.

Although I think one of my favorite communities is the Instagram community. I follow casual and speed puzzlers and it’s so fun to see the variety of jigsaws that are being completed and for the speed puzzlers, the insanely fast speeds in which they’re being completed.

Speaking of speed puzzling, I believe that part of the reason the obsession with puzzles and the amount the community has grown has a lot to do with speed puzzling competitions. There are local, regional, national and even world jigsaw puzzle competitions. In fact, the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship 2025 is coming up mid September in Valladolid, Spain. I am so excited to stream it and be blown away at speeds I can’t even fathom, and to see all the beautiful brand new puzzles.

It just goes to show there is a community out there for everyone. Even nerds like me!

*Note: Unless I indicate otherwise, all puzzle photos I use in my blogs were done by me.
